Natasha and Nitchele have shared a room pretty much their whole lives. When we finished the basement. They had their own rooms. They were so excited!! Then the crazy girls, I mean all 4 girls decided to get a wild hair and switch bedrooms. So for the past year we have traded rooms and room companions 2 or 3 times. The straw that broke the camels back was when Nitchele and Mikayla shared a room for about 2 weeks. Mikayla needs her sleep and Nitchele likes to read late and can handle a shortage on sleep. So after 2 weeks of a very tired, emotional, and frazzled Mikayla I made them all go back to the way I need and want it. So Natasha and Nitchele are back down stairs in their own rooms again. But you wouldn't know it from the picture. They both sleep in the same bed. It must be a twin thing. And they are not very happy I took this picture. But I am the mom and I will do what I want and what I need !!
About a week ago Christy was snowed out of going home to Tetonia so she stayed the night at our house. She was helping me with some stuff to help me get things ready to go do our taxes. We sent the kids to bed and the boys were playing on the stairs.(they didn't listen very well) after about 30 minutes. They got very quiet and Brian went looking for them. This is how he found Braxton sound asleep. We looked for Boone for about 20 minutes everywhere!! I mean everywhere!! We were getting really worried and Brian went outside to see if he had wandered out there at 10:00 at night he looked in the suburban to see if he had climbed in there to find some gum, he looked in his pickup, he went around the whole house yelling his name and couldn't find him anywhere. Christy asked me if we loose him very often. I gave her my worried giggle and said no this doesn't happen often. I called Stephanie in tears. Boone loves to escape to Stephy's house. But he wasn't there either. We have a "blanket tree" that I fold and throw all the blankets over,i had looked there twice and he was not there. I was outside in my socks standing in the snow crying and talking to Stephanie when Brian opened the door and said he had found him. That little stinker had crawled under all those blankets right in the middle of them and fallen asleep. When we went in the front bathroom to turn off the light, I discovered why he had hidden. He had taken a laundry basket in the bathroom and peed in the basket.I can just hear what he would have said if I found him and the basket at the same time. "Don't spank my bum" I was so happy to find him that I gave him a kiss and tucked him in bed.

This ones for you Grandma!! Do you recognize the cups our dessert is in? We have been trying really hard to have family home evening. We do a short lesson or read sctiptures and do our treat. Our new Stake President told us at Ward Conference that "Simplicity invites Spirituallity" so we have been tring to keep it short and sweet. While I was growing up I remember the treats most of all (well i do remeber a little more) but as a young child I loved it when my mom made something special for FHE. So here are our pretty little dirt cups.

Oh Loretta! I bet you were a mess not being able to find Boone. That little turkey knew right where to find a good spot to hide! Don't worry about Christy - If she hasn't figured us out by now... she may not ever! I love the dirt cups... are they crushed oreos?? We may have to try them. Our new FHE schedule for us is to have it on Sunday night because Monday is a mess... we are all angry and seem to run out of time by the time we should be starting! Then we will have a treat or go for a walk with the kids on Monday night. It is less stressful for us. In fact, I wish everyone could have heard Megan's almost adult-like lesson that she gave - by herself! So fun to have the rewards!

Thanks for the recipe... I think that one the kids can help with too. I love the sour worms but I think my kids would turn their noses up at them too!

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love these girls! They are amazing. I love the photo of Braxton on the stairs. Zack use to be able to fall asleep ANYWHERE too. We have some pretty funny photos of him doing it. I am REALLY glad you found Boone. What would life be without a heart stopping scare like that to laugh at the next day? Such is the life of a mother.
