I just did something that was really hard for me... Natasha and Nitchele have been really mean to each other lately. Last night I went to get my hair cut and received phone calls that I ignored. After all I was getting MY hair cut. My messages were Natasha in tears " Mom Nitchele just broke all the pretzels that I made for you for Christmas" (sob sob). Then another one from Nitchele (crying uncontrollably) "Mom blbu a blum a mmba bluba call me back" (well it went something like that.) I get home to find out Natasha was eating MY pretzels she made for me and wouldn't share with Nitchele. Nitchele got mad, broke the pretzels and sat on Natasha. Natasha grabbed the item closest to her to get out of the situation. Scissors!!! She cut some of Nitchele's hair. And the fight was over. I said no friends for 2 weeks. That's the easy part. It's easy to say that but when they call on their friends cell phone from the bus the last day of school before Christmas break. And say all their friends are going to Jensen's house to play can we go? I said " We talked about this last night and I really think you should come home." Natasha was in tears when she said "Ok". I was so close to saying yeah that will be fine, and have fun. But I said no and it was hard for me. I told her them need to learn how to treat each other before they can have friends again. We went through this about 3 months ago and it worked so here we go again!!

Shower

I really don't know why a shower can't clean it self!!! You clean with water.... so why do you have to clean something that gets water on it daily?

I did it !!!

OK so I finally did it... I passed all my CDL tests. I have been working on it and training with Sugar Salem transportation Dep. for about 4 weeks now. Just 10 more hours of observation and I will be on my own. I have thought about driving bus for a couple of years now. Boone is 3 and all the other kids are in school. I will be substituting for now till there is a full time route available. Who could ask for a better job than one that you are home when you kids are home? I am rather proud of myself... when I said I wanted to drive bus I never knew the training that is involved with it. But I am comfortable with all of it now. Tony Rothwell asked me yesterday if I have STUPID written on my forehead, I said not really....it is actually DIPUTS so the people in front of me can see it in their rear view mirrors. HAHAHA!!! I never thought I had any of my Great Grandpa Godfrey in me, (as ornery as I remember he was)But I respect him for driving bus for 27 years. Those are the ones who should be asked what they have written on their foreheads....that's a long time.

First day of School

I know that this has been along time coming!!! I have been so busy, now that Spud Harvest is almost over and I have had my kids home for a week, I guess it is time to probably be the last Mom to post first day of school pictures. In Sugar we have the option to ride the bus the first day of school with oue Kindergartner's. So I was excited to get to ride with Braxton, I have ridden with all of the other kids, once you start something you have to finish..... Boone had to ride with us, Brian had to work and I didn't get someone to watch him. All my kids and I stood in line to get on the bus, I figured that I would find an empty seat and Boone, Braxton and I would share a seat. Boy was I mistaken!!!

Braxton hopped in with Garrett Beagley

And Boone hopped in with Justin Beagley

There I was In a seat all by my self. I thought Braxton would need me and enjoy the fact that I got to go to school with him.... We got off the bus and Garrett walked the boys to Braxton's class and then walked them to breakfast.... I just followed like a good Mom taking pictures. I was not at all worried that Braxton wouldn't be taken care of at school....he had the Beagley's. Thank goodness for good friends!!!

My Little James is growing up to fast!!!

Strawberries

Last spring my Dad planted some strawberries.... A whole bunch of strawberries!!!This is the 2nd picking and I left a big tupperware bowl for Mary to pick. I actually did 13 batches of freezer jam!!! These are all my big helpers!!! (My kids and Aubrey and Sierra Burton)They helped so much and worked so hard!! (even though there was some complaining about itchy skin and sore backs) The girls, with the help of Hallie Beagley and Tayvri Clay helped me make the jam. There was lots of stirring!! We will have strawberry jam for 2 years!! I love that all the years of drilling into my girls heads about working hard is finally showing some results. They have really impressed me since school got out!!! I am proud of them!!!

Dry jokes

Braxton told Brian and I a joke yesterday...

"Why did the house pass the Picnic table?

It didn't know where it was!!"

I hope you all laugh as hard as I did!!! These jokes remind me so much of my little brother George! He always told the dryest jokes you just had to laugh. He was so proud of them.

Boys will be boys!!

Brian decided to turn the governor down on the four wheeler so that Braxton could learn to drive it. He LOVED!! this. He giggled and smiled for the first hour that he got to ride it. His sisters were at school so there wasn't any interference. Braxton is so light that when he goes over the bumps, his little bum lifts off of the seat. We did learn yesterday that a 4 year old isn't aware of the things that can happen. He didn't wreck or anything. But he was told not to drive on the road, he had to stay on the grass. I looked out the window to see, Mikayla and Hallie on the blue four wheeler chasing Braxton and Garrett on the red four wheeler down the road. Every time Braxton would look back to see how close Mikayla was, His hand would turn with his head. (this reminds me a little of a time I was riding in SLC with Annie and every time she would turn her head to change lanes her hands would turn to a bit scary!) On our dirt road when he turned he would slide a little sideways. I though for sure they were going to crash. I yelled at everyone and kicked them off!! Mikayla says that she was trying to catch up to him and tell him to get off the road so the closer she got the faster he went. What else would a boy do? So after not getting to ride four wheelers and being bored Braxton found something else to do. He decided to fix my suburban. He is laying on a skateboard so that he can roll under and he is using his Home depot tool set that he got for Christmas last year. Where does a 4 year old boy learn this stuff?

OK!! Jen brought some hand bags that her sister was getting rid of to Idaho and all the nieces chose from the pile. This bag still had a tag on it and had never been used "( i wonder why?) Ashley loved this bag and took it to school every day till the zipper broke. She was very sad to think it was broken and being the good and loving mom I am, I said ohh, its broke I think we will have to throw it away.LOL!!

Does your 3 year old know how to get to Walmart?

The only reason I like days like today is when it is cold and raining outside, it is the best time to scrapbook. I started and didn't have any glue dots and I needed them for the page I was doing so it was off to Walmart. We asked Boone if he wanted to got to Walmart and he said no he wanted to play at Koy's house, Braxton was already there so I called to see if that was OK and Kaden said that would be fine so we dropped Boone off and watched him go in the house and left. I have no Idea how long he was there, if he was sent home or what. But he decided he was walking to Walmart to find Mom and Dad. Matt Williams found him down on the main road and brought him home. He was scared and upset and he went in the Bathroom yelling and throwing things. Natasha said he put his coat and bath mat in the toilet. He throws the biggest tantrums!!! We were gone about 25 minutes and all of this happened!! I am so glad that he was safe. But this boy is going to be the death of me!! We tried to explain to him why it's not safe to to Walmart not even Mom walks to Walmart I said and all he could say was WHY? WHY?

Easter Dresses

One of my favorite things about Easter is getting to sew my girls dresses. It's always fun and it's even more fun to be all finished. I took 2 inches out of the bodice and they were all still big hence the pink undershirts!! It makes me mad when things don't turn out the way you dream them but oh well!! My girls love them and that's all that matters!!

Easter Chocolate

I was making Easter Chocolates for my kids today while they were at school. There was chocolate that was left over, so I decided to make little dollops on wax paper for the kids to eat after school. Nitchele came in the door and saw it immediately. She said " is this chocolate?" I looked at her with a little smile and said, " no it's poop". She looked back at with and with a big smile and said, " I like poop". I laughed so hard. I guess I need to be careful with what I say when they ask questions that they should already know the answer to. This reminds me of my mom and the silly things she used to say. I love how I can look back and remember some of those silly things and smile about them!!

Oh man is it winter again?

Braxton woke up this morning to find snow outside and very sadly said "oh man is it winter again?" I told him it wouldn't last long. I hope it warms up again soon! I love letting the kids wear themselves out by playing outside all day!!

Monday, March 9, 2009

Natasha and Nitchele have shared a room pretty much their whole lives. When we finished the basement. They had their own rooms. They were so excited!! Then the crazy girls, I mean all 4 girls decided to get a wild hair and switch bedrooms. So for the past year we have traded rooms and room companions 2 or 3 times. The straw that broke the camels back was when Nitchele and Mikayla shared a room for about 2 weeks. Mikayla needs her sleep and Nitchele likes to read late and can handle a shortage on sleep. So after 2 weeks of a very tired, emotional, and frazzled Mikayla I made them all go back to the way I need and want it. So Natasha and Nitchele are back down stairs in their own rooms again. But you wouldn't know it from the picture. They both sleep in the same bed. It must be a twin thing. And they are not very happy I took this picture. But I am the mom and I will do what I want and what I need !!
About a week ago Christy was snowed out of going home to Tetonia so she stayed the night at our house. She was helping me with some stuff to help me get things ready to go do our taxes. We sent the kids to bed and the boys were playing on the stairs.(they didn't listen very well) after about 30 minutes. They got very quiet and Brian went looking for them. This is how he found Braxton sound asleep. We looked for Boone for about 20 minutes everywhere!! I mean everywhere!! We were getting really worried and Brian went outside to see if he had wandered out there at 10:00 at night he looked in the suburban to see if he had climbed in there to find some gum, he looked in his pickup, he went around the whole house yelling his name and couldn't find him anywhere. Christy asked me if we loose him very often. I gave her my worried giggle and said no this doesn't happen often. I called Stephanie in tears. Boone loves to escape to Stephy's house. But he wasn't there either. We have a "blanket tree" that I fold and throw all the blankets over,i had looked there twice and he was not there. I was outside in my socks standing in the snow crying and talking to Stephanie when Brian opened the door and said he had found him. That little stinker had crawled under all those blankets right in the middle of them and fallen asleep. When we went in the front bathroom to turn off the light, I discovered why he had hidden. He had taken a laundry basket in the bathroom and peed in the basket.I can just hear what he would have said if I found him and the basket at the same time. "Don't spank my bum" I was so happy to find him that I gave him a kiss and tucked him in bed.

This ones for you Grandma!! Do you recognize the cups our dessert is in? We have been trying really hard to have family home evening. We do a short lesson or read sctiptures and do our treat. Our new Stake President told us at Ward Conference that "Simplicity invites Spirituallity" so we have been tring to keep it short and sweet. While I was growing up I remember the treats most of all (well i do remeber a little more) but as a young child I loved it when my mom made something special for FHE. So here are our pretty little dirt cups.

I just need Candy!!

We went shopping to Walmart today and I promised the boys if they were good they could have a Subway sandwich for lunch. When we got to the checkout line Braxton said "have we been good mom?" I said yes so you can have a sandwich. And Boone said "I don't want a sandwich I just need candy" I laughed. He didn't get his candy!!

Braxton's friends showed up today wanting to know if he wanted to play outside. I asked them if they would like me to pull them in the sled behind the snow machine. And those 3 little boys squealed with delight. "Awesome, yeah, this is going to be fun!" They crawled in and I got my instructions from Conner " hey, hey, don't go to slow!" I giggled and said "hold on". Then the two girls wanted rides and Sirri also gave me instructions "please don't go fast" I chose the happy medium for boys and girls. These three little boys better be careful, or should i say their parents. I think that braxtonconnerkoy is how you spell trouble.

I must add.... there was also 1 stool involved! How else can you reach the bag of chips and the pack of gum?
This is what happens when there are 2 boys, 2boxes of packaging peanuts, a cup of hot chocolate, a pack of gum, and a bag of chips that are left unattended while Mom hops in for a quick shower!

My baby is 3!!

Boone has been so excited about his birthday. We talked about it all last week. On Saturday we made cup cakes and playdough to give to his "friends" in nursery. He loaded the 18 baggies with playdough in them into his back pack and wore it all the way through church. It was so heavy that if he reached up for something he would almost fall over backward. He was really cute. He learned how to hold up 3 fingers. He got a transformer for his birthday and now he thinks he is Mega Tron. He runs around yelling in his low voice. "I'm Mega Tron" and then he makes lots of transformer sound like he is transforming. So after a fun day of drinking fruit punch and eating chocolate cake he fell asleep on the floor. I couldn't resist the picture of his filthy face.

Is that a hole in your sock?

I went to put Braxton's socks on this morning when I found a hole in one of the socks. I asked him why he gets so many holes in his socks. To this he replied " Mom when I am really hungry and you don't feed me I eat my socks, thats why they always have holes." HA HA!! So all of you out there... if you have kids with holes in their socks, you should ask yourself " Am I feeding my kids enough?

14 years! Is it Possible?

It blows me away to think that it has been 14 years since Brian and I got married! But as you can see the picture is pretty good proof. We have grown older together and also a grown wider together. When we got married we both had a 29 inch waist. WOW the good ol'days! 14 years ago I was giving my Bri baby cards and sweet tart candy. Today I scrubbed my bathroom. Happy Anniversary !! Its a bummer when your anniversary falls in the middle of the week!

3 Boys

This is how 3 boys: Koy, Boone, and Braxton watch TV. Its was funny to see that they were all so comfy watching cartoons.

After My dad had his double knee surgery about 3 weeks ago, we were at his house during the holidays, he mentioned to Mikayla that he needed someone to build him a snowman so that he could see it outside the window while he laid in bed. Well when Mikayla and Jacquel were outside playing at my house they built this little guy. It started warming up and blowing so this is where I found him yesterday. I asked Mikayla why he was sitting on the steps and she said "Grandpa needs a snowman and I put him there to keep him safe till we can take him to his house." She warms my heart. Mikayla is so thoughtful! She goes out of her way to do special things for the people around her what a sweetie pie!!
